Balance between modernism and timelessness
Special attention has been given to the architecture of Anspach. The architects totally revisited the development of the volumes and the different functions of the complex in order to come up with solutions that are resolutely facing the future and offering an exceptional lifestyle.
Conservation of the historic frontage
The project has incorporated as much of the original facades as possible in order to blend in perfectly with the surrounding city architecture. Some of these facades were of the hand of famous Belgian architects such as Victor Horta (rue Gretry), Polak (rue de l’Evêque), Petit and Olive (bd Anspach), …
An architectural project with cohesion
For the exterior, the architects have concentrated on the different angles of the building in order to create a modern front, in perfect aesthetic harmony with the existing facades. As for the interior, the building has been totally reinvented both as far as the organisation of its different functions is concerned and also its accessibility.
The vision of an artist
Belgian artist Vincent Strebelle was commissioned to adapt certain aspects of the project. He gave the external balconies a romantic touch in the finish of the guard rail. It was also his idea to cover one of the walls of the gallery with over 300 mirrors in polished inox, each 3m in diameter, creating thus an exceptional aesthetic experience.
